TWBS @ Henley Royal Regatta through the Ages
Henley Royal Regatta is perhaps the most famous, most prestigious rowing event outside of the World Rowing Championships and the Olympic Games, attracting crews from all over the world. The history of the regatta is long, starting in 1839, thus over 180 years.
The Windsor Boys' School first raced at the regatta back in the 1960s in the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup for U19 Eights. Since the early 1990s, competing in the Coxless Quadruple Scull has become what TWBS is most famously known for, and at Henley Royal Regatta competing in The Fawley Challenge Cup
The Windsor Boys' School has gone onto unprecedented successes in this event. In recent years the staggering achievements of the 1st Quad have been one of the talks of the rowing world, winning the event in 2017, 2018, 2022, and 2024. Further to this the we were runners up in 2014, 2016, 2021 and incredibly in 2022, when the 'B' crew made the final, losing to the 'A' crew that year.
